The art deco design draws inspiration from Chengdu’s tea house culture, weaving in Chinese flora and silk embroidery traditions while paying homage to both its location and the original Waldorf Astoria in New York. An open-plan concept creates a flowing series of public spaces knitting together the hotel’s social life. The décor is tailored and crisp, a celebration of woods, metals and stones combined with soulful sophistication. Key features including ornate metal work, decorative lighting and art, naturalistic motifs and intricate stone details can be found throughout the hotel while floor-to-ceiling windows offer captivating views of the city.
