Our design for Halepuna Waikiki sleekly embraces the ethereal qualities of land and water, showcasing refined elements inspired by its wonder-of-nature setting. Spaces like the open lobby, where the Halekulani Bakery & Restaurant is also located, are lined with custom light fixtures, teak finishes, vaulted ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel’s public art program features commissioned contemporary art by local artists exhibited throughout the property.

Each of the elegant accommodations frame views of the Pacific Ocean, punctuated with a restrained palette of white, gray, beige, and blue, along with custom artwork. The many amenities of the new concept include a fitness studio, spa, vitality pool and cabanas on its eighth floor, attached to a private garden. A minimalist ease defined by clean lines and natural finishes is at the heart of the pool’s design inspiration.

On the exposed outdoor terrace, the lap pool and hot tub are framed by a raised teak pool deck on three sides, while the fourth is an infinity edge overlooking Waikiki Bay. Here, relaxation reigns supreme: nine veiled and cozy cabanas offer a shady reprieve, sleek white lounge chairs are perfectly staged to maximize the views, and accents of deep orange punctuate the space in the form of earthen side tables.
