Steeped in history, The Beverly Hills Hotel’s legendary bungalows have served as the preferred accommodations for generations of Hollywood royalty. Out of the 21 bungalows comprehensively restored by our studio, there are five featuring design elements inspired by notable guests who have frequented the hotel over the past century. Bungalow 5 is inspired by Elizabeth Taylor; Bungalow 22 takes after the soul of Sinatra; and Bungalow 1 is imbued with Marilyn Monroe, just to name a few.

Glamorous and youthful best describe the aesthetic of Bungalow 1, which was a personal favorite of Marilyn Monroe and reflects her cherished Southern California lifestyle. With curvy furniture, bright and abstract floor coverings, colorful travertine stones, and gold-leafed ceilings, this feminine space is both playful and sophisticated. Jean-Michel Frank influences pay homage to her use of his designs in her own home, including extensive use of parchment to envelop aspects of each room.

Designed to enhance the effortless and modern Californian style while maintaining the property’s existing residential feel, the bungalows include color palettes inspired by warm Southern California tones, such as rust, pinks, greens and golds. Furniture styles include a mix of tailored 40's French and Hollywood Regency, enhancing the bungalows’ welcoming layout and design. Key finishes include decorative wallpapers, custom embroidered panels, hand-stenciled patterns, intricate floor inlays, and silk accent pillows. The proud legacy and traditions of The Beverly Hills Hotel created a classic foundation upon which we layered our contemporary point of view.
